Direct Heat Transfer Ink

InkTec's Direct Heat Transfer Ink has been developed on the base of the 12 year ink development know-how, and InkTec has supplied the suitable ink to the large-format printer applying the technology possessed. The Ink has been formulated to make images transfer well by using heat and pressure, that the color on the substrates can be deep and brilliant.

What is a direct heat transfer and how it works?

Direct heat transfer is very similar to sublimation process where ink passes through an inkjet printer onto paper. Then the printed image is heat transferred onto the desired surface something like printing images on the T-shirt. During this process the solid dye particles are changed into gas that bonds with Polymers and then changes back into a solid. Direct heat transfer is always done on a polyester, polymer or polymer coated items. At the 160 - 220°C the solid dye converts into a gas without ever becoming a liquid. The same high temperature opens the pores of the polymer and allows the gas to enter. When the temperature drops, the pores close and gas reverts to a solid state. It has now become a part of the polymer. The direct heat transfer process provides many benefits to companies who need the ability to transfer images onto different surfaces.
