Canon CLI-8, PGI-5 Chip Resetter
This Canon chip resetter allows you to restore the ink level function in the CLI-8 and PGI-5 ink cartridges by resetting the chip so that the printer will recognize that the cartridge is now full of ink.
To avoid the hassles and potential problems associated with warning messages regarding the ink level, you need a tool to reset the ink level reading to full.
The majority of printers will accept a refilled cartridge that registers as empty. However, they will repeatedly display a warning message letting you know that the cartridge is empty every time you want to print something. It is possible to disable the ink level monitoring altogether, but this is not advisable because you will have to keep track of the ink levels yourself. If you do not, and one or more of the cartridges is dry, then you run the risk of doing serious damage to the print head. The solution to this problem is our Canon CLI-8 and PGI-5 chip resetter.
How it works:
Simply place the cartridge in the cradle so that the chip can be pressed down onto the contact pins on the resetter. The light in the cartridge will flash once – keep the cartridge pressed down on the resetter until the light remains static. The programming has been successful and the cartridge can be removed. It’s as easy as that! |
